2013 RESTROSPECTIVE

This year is almost over, and I have so many things to be thankful for. 2013 was full of changes, opportunities, happiness, sadness, distance and so many emotions I could not describe in just one sentence. It was a year to grow, to see things differently, to realize that my dreams weren’t as far as thought they would be because I went after them and I am only hoping next year is even better.

2013 ya casi se acaba y tengo demasiadas cosas que agradecer. El 2013 estuvo lleno de muchos cambios, oportunidades, felicidad, tristeza,distancia y tantas emociones que no me caben en este párrafo. Fue un año de crecimiento, de ver las cosas diferente, de darme cuenta que mis sueños no estaban tan lejos como yo pensaba porque me fui tras ellos, y solo espero que el 2014 sea mejor.

One of the many things that made me happy was being able to take the care of the blog as often as I could. For some, blogging is just something to be notice by brands or important people, in part it is but for me, is like a complement, I love doing it. I don’t know where I would be now without it; I have met so many wonderful people through it and I have seen a different side of the fashion industry, a side where you can express who you are and what you stand for without restrictions.

Una de las cosas que me hizo muy feliz este año fue poder darle el cariño que siempre habia querido al blog, para algunos tener un blog es la manera de ser notado por marcas o gente importante, en cierta manera lo es; para mi, es mi complemento, amo hacerlo. No sé donde estaria sin el blog, he conocido mucha gente gracias a él y he visto un lado distinto de la industria de la moda, un lado en el que puedes expresarte tal como eres sin restricciones.

I want this post to be a little retrospective of the year, I can’t post all the looks because it will be too much, but I will post the looks that meant the most to me and reflect my personality.

Quiero este post que sea un poco de restrospectiva de lo que fue el año, no puedo colocar todos los looks porque seria demasiado, pero si mis favortios y los que más significaron algo para mi y reflejaron mi personalidad al máximo.

I just really want to thank all of you who have been truly supporting me on this journey, I might not be the most high fashion blogger or street style influencer, but I am proud of showing you who I really am and if I get to inspired you like that, everything pays off.

Quiero de corazón agradecer a todos los que me han apoyado desde el primer dia de esta aventura, no soy las más high fashion blogger o influencial, pero estoy orgullosa de mostrar quien realmente soy y si asi puedo llegar a inspirarles, no hay mejor recompensa.

Dreaming I was taller to wear one of those tulle wide skirts I am so obsessed with. This one is the closest thing I have so when I wear it I like to dance around as if I had one of those dreamy skirts I love. It didn't result as I expected since the wind was a big obstacle but It turned out to be a fun, cute shoot and you can see I had fun with this outfit.

Soñando que soy alta para usar esa faldas largas y abombadas que tanto me tienen obsesionada. Esta es lo más cercano que tengo asi que, cuando la uso me gusta bailar como si tuviese una de mis faldas soñadas. No resultó como lo esperaba ya que el viento fue un obstáculo pero me gustó lo divertidas que salieron, pueden notar que me divertí mucho usando este look.

I was looking at different long knit cardigans as winter in South Florida does not require the use of much outerwear. I came across this rose red open knit cardigan and I must say, I was a bit skeptical as I do not have many bright pieces in my closet. Considering that Miami is vibrant, it seemed like the right choice for our bright winter. If you are considering on getting one of these, you must know that it is a one-size piece and fits like a size small.

I also love this Isaac Mizrahi clutch. If you are heading out for a quick lunch this is the perfect clutch or dress things up for a night out.

Estaba buscando distintos cardigans largos ya que el Invierno en el Sur de Florida no requiere el uso de mucha ropa abrigada. Vi este que es abierto pero debo decir que estaba indecisa ya que, no soy de las personas que tiene muchas piezas de colores neón en su closet. Considerando que Miami es vibrante, parecía la opción correcta para un invierno neón. Si están considerando tener uno de estos, deben saber que es talla única.

También me encanta este clutch de Isaac Mizrahi. Si van a salir para un almuerzo rápido es el clutch perfecto, también para looks más formales para la noche.

That time of the year has come again, when the one thing you want is to spend time with your family talking about how the year treated you and your expectations for the next one. What I like about this time is that you realized everything you have accomplished and put yourself some bigger goals for the year that's coming.

Statement pieces are a must for the holidays, in our case, this is our perfect holiday look. I chose having an statement print which of course is animal print and added the traditional red touch with the blazer.
Yumi chose some cute sparkly dress as a traditional statement for the festivities.

Certainly, fashion is a big deal all year round, but it is less serious when you have fun with it and enjoy every season of it.

Ha llegado nuevamente ese momento del año, en el que lo único que deseas es ir corriendo a compartir con tu familia, hablando de como te trato este año y lo que esperas del que viene. Lo que me gusta de esta temporada es que te das cuenta lo lejos que llegaste y nos ponemos metas más grandes para el siguiente año.

Las piezas statement son las protagonistas de las navidades, para nosotras estos looks son perfecto para la festividad. Elegí tener de statement el animal print y agregué el color tradicional de esta temporada, el rojo.
Yumi elegió detalles en lentejuelas que también son tradicionales estas fechas.
Chequeen el blog de las chic as para ver más de sus looks!

Ciertamente, la moda nunca descansa y siempre es importante, pero cuando te diviertes y la disfrutas ni te das cuenta.

Para estas fiestas, diviertanse, usen lo que quieran usar, que se sientan cómodas, lindas, sexys, etc y disfruten con sus seres queridos como si no hubiese un mañana.

For some it might be difficult to find that outfit that will be remembered for a while, that is why I thought it was a great idea to put together some of the outfits (I wish I had) from my favorite bloggers to inspire your holiday outfits and hopefully you still have time to go to the store and get it, or borrow if from a friend or anything.
