I cannot believe this year is over. I honestly have to be thankful for so many things, I wanted to do a retrospective post but I have so many favorites from this year that I just decided to wear something that I would wear for New Year's Eve. 

We will be on our way to Orlando today and I just want to thank you to each one of you who take the time to click the link of the blog and read through, it means everything to me. I was planning to stop for a while to be able to come back with better content and look but, I am just going to see if I can start posting by mid-January or earlier. Even though blogging is not the only thing I do, I enjoy it and I want to make it a great space.

Thanks to all the brands, people and everyone who were part of the growth of the blog this 2014, I really appreciate it and it is just amazing that I get to inspire at least one of you, that is the best reward.

I wish you all an amazing New Year and I hope 2015 is full of joy, success and lots of hard work.

No puedo creer que ya se acabó el 2014, la verdad que estoy agradecidad por muchas cosas. Quería hacer un post de retrospectiva pero hubo demasiadas cosas que me encantaron del 2014 asi que, decidí postear este look que es algo que usaría para recibir el 2015.

Estaremos de camino a Orlando hoy y solo quería agradecer a cada uno de los que se toman el tiempo de hacer click al blog y leerlo, significa el mundo para mi. Estaba planeando parar un tiempo para poder regresar con mejor contenido y look pero, solo trataré de empezar a postear a mediados de Enero o quizá antes. Aunque el blog no es lo único que hago lo disfruto y quiero hacerlo mejor cada día.

Gracias todas las marcas, personas y todos los que fueron parte del crecimiendo del blog este 2014, lo aprecio muchisimo y es increíble que pueda llegar a inspirar aunque sea a uno de ustedes, es la mejor recompensa.

Les deseos una excelente festividad y espero que el 2015 este lleno de alegría, éxito y bastante trabajo duro.

Wearing hats has never been something that reflects my personality. I always felt they did not look good on me but I decided to give it a try when I saw this one, and so far I really like it. 

I cannot believe this year is almost over, it feels surreal sometimes how time goes by so quickly, I will try to do a retrospective post for the last day of the year as I usually do, I feel a lot of things happened with the blog this year I am so thankful for.

Usar sombreros nunca has sido algo característico de mi personalidad, siempre sentí que no me quedaban bien pero decidí intentarlo una vez más cuando vi este y hasta ahora me gusta.

Happy Friday!

Petite in Style is always on Fridays and today happens to be my birthday. In the spirit of celebration, I am sharing a holiday look for the office. As we all know, red is the color of the holiday season. It is definitively a bold color and must been worn carefully, especially if you are wearing it to the office.

 I wanted to keep my look professional and still wear red. This is actually a trench coat dress that I found at TJ Maxx, which is great because it can also be worn as a trench coat for when I want to layer my look. It is also very light, which is great for Miami’s weather. The dress/coat itself has a bit of gold in it; therefore I added a beautiful pair of Kate Spade Ribbon Studs. I added a clutch and some plain pumps to make the entire look a bit classier.

Mi sección es siempre los viernes y hoy por casualidad también es mi cumpleaños. Con espíritu de celebración, decidí compartir con ustedes un look para la oficina que se puede utilizar durante esta temporada de fiestas. Como todos sabemos, el rojo es el color de la temporada. Es un color muy llamativo por lo que es importante saber lucirlo, sobre todo si se está utilizado para la oficina.

Como les comente, quería que el look fuese profesional y a la misma vez utilizar el color rojo. Este vestido que también sirve como abrigo es perfecto para esta temporada y el clima de Miami. Como el vestido tiene algunos detalles dorados, decidí acompañarlo con estos aretes de Kate Spade que son en manera de lazos formados por cintas. La cartera y los zapatos son sencillos para que el look se vea mas clásico.

It was impossible not to take this skirt home with me after seeing it on display at the store. The styling of it did not quite call my attention, but the skirt was too gorgeous. I love the structure and how it fits perfectly so it does not fall like it happens with some other skirts.
I had to take my cutest heels to paired it with and of course a pop of color with the jacket and clutch.

Era imposible no llevarme esta falda luego de verla en el display de la tienda. El estilismo no me llamó nada la atención pero era muy bella. Me encanta la estructura y que queda perfectamente en mis caderas y no se cae como me pasa algunas veces.
Tuve que combinarla con los tacones más cute que tengo y un poco de color con el blazer y clutch.

Miami's weather is always a challenge, at least during "Winter" it is. I had to take my stockings out because it was a bit chilly, but I love faking a winter outfit of course. I think living in a city like New York would be a challenge for me, I get cold so easily is crazy!

Every woman should have little black dress in their closet. This one from Ann Taylor is different  and very chic. It was a birthday gift from Gaby and I must say, I love it!

The bow detail on the top part of the dress almost feels like a tie. This dress is great for the office and for the holiday season.

Cada mujer debería de tener en su clóset un traje negro corto o que llegue hasta la rodilla. Son muy versátiles. Este traje de Ann Taylor es diferente por el detalle de lazos en la parte superior. Gaby me regaló este por mi cumpleaños y me encanta.

I can't let escape an opportunity to wear coats. Miami's weather has been very nice, so taking sweaters, coats and scarves has been a must. I felt like mixing these prints together for no special reason. I really enjoy going for something different and cute, I loved the result of the mix.

No puedo dejar ir una oportunidad para usar chaquetas. El clima ha estado muy nice, asi que sacar sueters, chaquetas y bufandas ha sido una necesidad. Sentí que mezclar estos dos estampados fue lo mejor, me encanta a veces intentar algo distinto, y el resultado me encantó.

I find it very hard sometimes to write something different on each post. I have around 450 posts that I cannot even believe I have wrote and posted. Sometimes I feel I say the same thing over and over again but I wish I had time to prepare a bit more what I write. Honestly, I do not dedicate all of my time to the blog because I have stuff to do. My portfolio show is in two days and even though the graduation ceremony is not until June 2015, I am already done with school and I am now transitioning for a full time job so blogging is not on my top time consuming responsibilities. I have said it a few times and it is actually something I do for fun, to relax and I enjoy it a lot.

 

Art Basel was crazyyyy, it always is. Going out is madness, even printing your portfolio is because everything is about the events going on. I did not took pictures every time I visited a galley, but this day I did because I am in love with my new skirt.

This lace midi skirt is stunning and because I was going to be walking a lot I went for flats, and a jacket since it was a bit chilly.

A veces me es dificil escribir algo diferente en cada post, tengo ya casi 450 entradas aqui y no puedo creerlo. A veces siento que repito lo mismo una y otra vez pero desearia tener mas tiempo para escribir. Honestamente no dedico todo mi tiempo a esto porque tengo cosas que hacer. Mi portfolio show es en dos dias y aunque la ceremonia de graduacion no es sino hasta Junio del 2015, ya termine la Universidad y ahora voy a pasar a tener un trabajo tiempo completo asi que, el blog no esta en mi top de responsabilidades que me ocupan tiempo. Lo he dicho varias veces y es algo que hago para divertirme, para relajarme y porque lo disfruto.

 

Art Basel fue una locura, como siempre. Salir era un desafio, hasta imprimir mi portfolio lo fue porque todo es acerca de los eventos que estan sucediendo. No tome fotos cada vez que visitamos una galeria pero este dia lo hice porque me encanta mi nueva falda.

Esta falda de encaje midi es bella y porque iba a caminar muchisimo decidi usar zapatillas, y agregar una chaqueta porque hacia un poco de frio.
