Just a quick summer post for today. I got this dress a long time ago and brought it back with me from my quick trip to Venezuela a couple months ago, Miami weather has been cray cray this past weeks so I just went for it and finally wore this super comfy dress and, mixed it with the cutest silver sandals.

I enjoy working with textures and prints at home. There are days like this, when I love wearing prints with a pop of color. Miami has been very rainy lately, you may not even think it is summer. On gloomy days I like to bright things up by wearing red, orange, yellow, etc, like this blazer with a fun print and tassel necklace from Zoe and J.

This is  a fun outfit to wear  to work on a Friday.

Disfruto trabajar con texturas y estampados en casa. Estos son días como esos que me encanta usar estampados con un color llamativo. Miami ha estado de lluvia en lluvia que ni parece verano. En días nublados como este me gusta usar colores vivos como rojo, naranja, amarillo, etc como este blazer con un estampado divertido y este collar de tassel de Zoe and J.

A few years back I would have not pictured myself wearing orange or yellow, for some reason I thought they just did not look good on me. Now, and I have to say thanks to the blog, I am able to take more risks and try new things. Honestly, if you meet me like 4 years ago, I would wear skirts like once a month, I was terrified of them, I did not feel secure or confident about myself but, thanks to the blog and years of experience I have learned that you are the only one who can make yourself look and feel good but also bad so it depends a lot on what you want and how you actually want to feel about yourself.

Everyday I choose to feel confident, scute and try new things that would inspire me and make me have fun with my looks and enjoy the moment. Life is so short and time does not wait long for us to find happiness, it's within ourselves.

Hace un tiempo no me hubiese imaginado usando naranja o amarillo, por alguna razón pensé que no se veían bien en mi. Hoy, puedo decir que gracias al blog puedo experimenter más y arriesgarme al probar cosas nuevas. Honestamente si me hubiesen conocido por ahí en el 2010 usaba faldas máximo una vez al mes o casi nunca, me aterraban porque no me sentía segura de mi cuerpo pero, gracias al blog y tiempo de experiencia y aprendizajes he sabido que solo nosotros mismos nos hacemos ver y sentir bien pero también mal, siempre dependerá en lo que quieras o como te quieras sentir sobre ti mismo.

Todos los días elijo sentirme confiada, segura e intentar cosas nuevas que me inspiren y me diviertan con mis looks y asi disfrutar el momento. La vida es tan corta y el tiempo no espera por nosotros para encontrar la felicidad, porque esta ahí mismo, dentro de nosotros.

Well, I am obsessed with floral prints especially pastel prints. When I saw this dress all I could think of was "I have to have it". Is so cute and ladylike I could not wait to wear it, but of course when you live in Florida you can expect a horrible rainy day when you decide to wear your cute dress.

Either way I wore it and added the cutest pink lipstick from NYX MLS02. You know for me lipstick is like the final magic touch and I cannot go out without it.

Ya saben que mi obsesión por los estampados de flores va más allá, especialmente si eso incluye colores pasteles. Cuando vi este vestido tenía que llevármelo. Es muy lindo y no podía esperar para usarlo, pero como es de esperarse cuando se vive en Florida, al salir de mi casa con el vestido me esperaba un día muy lluvioso.

Igualmente me lo disfruté y agregué un poco de labial que como ya saben es para mi el toque final mágico. Este que uso es NYX MLS02.

I have been wanting to get a bag different from the ones I have. By different I mean, color. When it comes to handbags I am all about neutrals because to me they complement an outfit so it is better to have more versatile colors. I have been wanting a mint bag for a few months but I did not want any mint bag, I wanted THE mint bag.
Simona Callá is a store based in Chicago, IL. The owner of the store Carmen Boada is Venezuelan which makes me even happier to get the bag because I like supporting people from my country that are making their way in the international market. The collection the store carries is simply amazing, the colors, shapes, and aesthetics of the pieces are to die for. My bag is called "Isabela" and it is made with vegan leather. He querido una cartera diferente de las que ya tengo, y al decir diferente me refiero al color. Cuando hablamos de carteras para mi los colores neutros son clave porque complementan un look y son más versátiles. Recientemente he querido una cartera de color menta, pero no quería cualquiera sino LA cartera menta.
Simona Callá es una tienda ubicada en Chicago, IL. La encargada es la venezolana Carmen Boada, lo cual me animó muchísimo más a comprarla porque me gusta apoyar como pueda a los venezolanos que ponen su nombre en alto afuera.
